Yesterday, our C Div team played a friendly match against ASC Barker and all of us have gained a lot of experiences. I would not say that all of the players from ASC Barkerwere rough but one or two of them were certainly playing dirtier than anyone else. Despite this, we did not have a hard time getting the ball into the net and were actually dominating by the end of the second quarter.
I find that some players from Barker are very small in size and that is one of the reasons why we beat them. Also, their team did not form up properly and lost possession quite often. This particualr guy actually attempted 4 half court shots without any obvious reasons. Another reason why we won is because our team played more as a team than the Barker team which played more on individual skills.
Marcus nearly got into a fight with a violent player and I hope he will be able to control his anger better and not fight during the Nationals which may get him sacked(I guess?). Also, I scored for my first time. People may be laughing at me but I feel I have improved a bit and I have to work on my swimming now which is the main problem.
Darren says that we lost to ASCI during the SA tournament because they were all too fast and had a lot of opportunities to break free and score goals and he says that the goal difference will be lesser when we play against them during the Nationals. I don't think so because it is not only our team that undergoes tremendous trainings, ASCI must have trained very hard too so I think we can't defeat them unless miracles happen and we will only be able to get a second place this year. Of course, I am not satisfied with a second place but I am just stating the facts.
When is our team trunks coming anyway?
